gwakeonlan software package provides wakes up your machines using Wake on LAN, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gwakeonlan
gwakeonlan is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gwakeonlan package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gwakeonlan *
You will get with gwakeonlan package name, version, architecture and description in a table
